The Causes and Consequences of Electoral Violence Project is a three-year project run by Gidon Cohen, Gary Hutchison, Patrick Kuhn, and Nick Vivyan.  Based at Durham University, it is funded by the ESRC and AHRC. The project aims to study the short, medium, and long-term triggers of electoral violence between the First Reform Act of 1832 and the Outbreak of the Great War in 1914, as well as its immediate and long-term consequences. This will be achieved through the collection of a broad and diverse set of quantitative and qualitative data.
